LiveReport Extensions

LiveReport Extensions, which is included with Livelink ECM - WebReports for free, offers many powerful enhancements to standard LiveReports transforming LiveReports into a secure and flexible SQL query tool ideal for serving custom applications built inside Livelink Enterprise Server. Like WebReports, LiveReport Extensions is a pure native Livelink™ Enterprise Server module. It is therefore quick and easy to install requiring no extra servers or costly data modeling exercises. Being fully independent, LiveReport Extensions may be installed with or without WebReports installed.

Features

SQL Templates - Define segments of SQL code and control their inclusion / exclusion using tokens passed in input parameters. This extremely powerful feature offers a fully secure yet flexible SQL query serving custom Web applications within Livelink Enterprise Server.

Unlimited input parameters - Define as many user input parameters to your query as you require.

Unlimited substitution parameters - Set up any number of substitution parameters.

Enhanced design interface - Format your SQL with spaces, new lines and tabs to make it readable and maintainable; enlarged SQL design window; undo & redo buttons; view query function for debugging.

Improved query performance - Option to switch off database "Cursor Fetch Mode" and reduce query times by up to 30%.

Transaction mode option - Standard LiveReports force that all queries run within a database transaction. This option enables read-only queries to run outside of a database transaction.

Query external databases - Select from a list of databases connections including non-Livelink Enterprise Server Oracle and SQL Server databases.
